There is a wilderness hike that is well worth doing, located near the town of Kapaa in the Central Highlands, the Sleeping Giant Trail has everything to please hikers thirsty for beautiful green discoveries and the feeling of being at the end of the world. The botany is as surprising as it is spectacular, the tropical forest takes all its meaning here and especially when you reach the bamboo forest. The smooth green trunks compete for a little light, we have to make some manoeuvres and use our imagination to succeed in crossing this jungle and this poorly maintained path, there are not many people who seem to venture out here. The summit is too far to get there, especially since we have lost all trace of the trail ahead. Before turning back, we take the opportunity to soak in the pure, icy water of the steep mountains, here a glimpse of our expedition.
